Employment Benefits

Below you'll find highlights of PCC's benefit package. Please note that full-time employees are defined as employees who customarily work 12 months in each year and at least 35 hours per week.

Time Off

PCC provides a progressively generous Combined Time Off (CTO) package based on the length of employment.

Medical Insurance

PCC provides medical coverage to full-time employees through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Vermont. Employees can elect one of two different plans. PCC pays 82-85% of the employee's premium (depending on the plan choice) and partially subsidizes the cost of adding a spouse and dependents.

Dental Expense Reimbursement Plan

PCC reimburses up to $1,000 per year for the qualifying dental expenses of employees, their spouses and dependents.

Vision Expense Reimbursement Plan

PCC reimburses up to $250.00 per year for the qualifying vision expenses of employees, their spouses and dependents.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance

PCC's disability plans provide coverage if a full-time employee is unable to work due to illness or injury as defined by the plan.

Life Insurance

PCC provides a life insurance policy with a scheduled benefit of $50,000 to employees under the age of 70. The benefit is reduced for employees over the age of 70.

Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)

PCC's EAP, called the LifeWorks Program, provides CONFIDENTIAL assessment, referral and follow-up services to assist employees in identifying, thinking through and resolving personal problems.

Flexible Benefits Plan

The plan is designed to allow full-time employees to pay for certain expenses using pre-tax dollars. These expenses include health insurance premiums, certain uncovered medical expenses, dependent care expenses and commuter/mass-transit expenses.

Health Education & Fitness Program

PCC reimburses up to $300.00 per year for the qualifying health education and fitness expenses of employees, their spouses and dependents.

AAA Membership

PCC provides each full-time employee with a AAA Plus Membership.

Tuition Reimbursement

PCC encourages employees to take academic courses by reimbursing 75% of eligible tuition fees up to $4,000 per year.

401(k) Plan

PCC offers a 401(k) Plan with an employer match for eligible employees to save for retirement. This is a tax deferred plan which means that you do not pay taxes on the money you contribute until it is withdrawn. Employees can choose from seven funds offered through The Vanguard Group.

Professional Memberships

PCC will cover the cost of approved work-related professional memberships, books, and magazines.
