BC-111 Chronic Disease Management
Simplify the complex coding and administrative tasks associated with chronic disease management.
Dr. Lessin has developed templates in a variety of chronic disease areas, including asthma, ADHD,
obesity, diabetes, and headache, that will help simplify this process for you. He'll review each
of these templates, and the philosophy of coding and documentation for repeat visits with associated procedures,

BC-200: Collecting Personal and Insurance Balances
Develop and and use a successful procedure for collecting personal balances that leads to greater financial health. Start with tips on collecting payments at the time of service; follow up with effective use of the bills program (bills), Personal Money Tracking Assistant (persview), Ebills (ebs), Collection Report (coll), and more. Examine the four aspects of a good insurance collection process: accurate claim data, timely submission of new claims, consistent research of unpaid claims, and the resubmission of claims. Learn to develop a process and make use of Partner reports, such as Insurance Aging (insaging) and Insurance Receivables (inscoar), to identify outstanding insurance claims. Insurance configuration requires regular maintenance and evaluation to ensure healthy, timely reimbursement. Improve your success by learning how to use Special Information Files (ibar), select HCFA batches, retire unused plans, use proper naming conventions, and manage your configuration tables (ted). Explore different procedures and share helpful tips for getting full payment of underpaid or denied claims. Implement an appeals process, and learn how and when to involve the patient.
