Users' Conference 2007
Extras
Vermont is home to an array of exciting recreational activities, from kayaking or biking along the waterfront of Lake Champlain (which was once on the map as the seventh Great Lake) to shopping and dining in pedestrian-friendly downtown Burlington.
We hope you'll make the most of your stay here during the UC, whether by taking advantage of our planned evening activities, including the Friday Night Big Bash, or by experiencing Vermont on your own.
If you plan to be in Vermont through the weekend, there are many local attractions you might want to consider. PCC's staff has also picked out some of their favorite things to do and see.
We have big plans for you each evening. Tuesday evening we'll welcome you with a reception at the Sheraton conference center, with refreshments and a Day in the Life of PCC movie. Wednesday evening, we invite you to join your peers and several of your PCC friends for a picnic dinner along the Lake Champlain shore (transportation provided).
Explore on your own by taking PCC's free shuttle service Wednesday and Thursday night! We'll provide transportation to shopping and dining destinations in downtown Burlington and the waterfront park. Along the waterfront, you can take in the view as the sun sets over Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains, or enjoy dinner and live music at Breakwater's Cafe on the water.
Friday Night Big Bash
On Friday night, we'll travel by coach bus (about a 25 minute ride) to the Grand Isle Lake House to enjoy quintessential Vermont scenery on this spectacular, historic waterfront inn. The Grand Isle House is known for its sophisticated and hearty American cuisine. Take in the views from the veranda while enjoying the company of your peers and PCC friends. Shuttles depart at varying times in the evening to return you to the Sheraton.
