PCC Releases Partner 10.2006

Insurance and Guarantor Tracking Just Got Easier

(Winooski, VT)—Partner 10.2006 combines family billing features with new patient-based insurance policy management, making the tracking of frequently changing custodial and guarantor relationships even easier for pediatric practices.

The release of this update to PCC's pediatric practice management system moves insurance policy management from the family to the patient. Patient files now make use of an individual list of policies, and the tools for viewing, adding, and editing policies have also improved.

PCC continually updates their Partner software, with major releases two or three times each year, all at no additional charge to customers.

Marion Hayes, office manager at Pediatric and Adolescent Care of Silver Spring, MD, is excited by the most recent changes to Partner. Her practice was one of several that tested the changes. "I was so pleased to see this happen. With this update, we can easily address every patient's unique insurance situation. This is particularly important when working with families with special insurance situations ... yet you still get family billing functions. It's just great! I think it's the biggest improvement to the software PCC has made with this release."

This Partner update also includes changes to the patient-specific and account/family-specific notes. The new note features allow for maximum efficiency when adding, editing, or researching notes, without sacrificing data integrity. Notes are clearly marked with the author's name, along with a date and time stamp. Follow-up notes are stored with the original note. Once a note is posted, it becomes a permanent part of the record for the account or patient. Users may modify a note, but the software will record all changes made to the note, including the author, date, and time of each version of the note. A search field at the top of the notes screen also allows users to efficiently search for notes containing specific words.

PCC also continues to expand Partner's compatibility with electronic health record systems. Interfacing with the LMR EMR is now possible with Partner. Customers are also using PCC's software interfaces with other EHR/EMR systems, including EncounterPRO, CHARTCARE, and A4 HealthSystems.
