I have heard them say frequently on the news that the anthrax they
tested was NOT resistant to Pen or doxy. So why aren't we using
these old standbys for all those people needing treatment instead of
$$$$$Cipro$$$$$???????
The director of the CDC was on the news last night, he mentioned that
2,000,000 doses of Cipro were on hand should they need them. He said this
was either a 30 or 60 day supply in an emergency, this # was not clarified
beyond that.
He also said to not worry, that the other antibiotics always worked (as you
have named). Who knows, maybe the media department at the Cipro company did
a better job telling news departments that they had the de facto cure. I
wonder if this is what all the patients have used, or if this is just what
is easy to report.
