My point was that we don't "profile" ahead of time. If they are deadbeats, we will
figure it out and it is not "fair" to the other patients to keep them when they
make no attempt to pay. (I really love it when a patient who has made no attempt
to pay is interrupted twice by their cell phone while you are in the room....)
I am not an Albert Switzer, nor independently wealthy. I know how the light bill
gets paid!

We don't assume they will not pay us...
Plus, we are not at "capacity" so it is good business to see more in hopes some
will pay. Usually they do.

Are you in a private practice?

What do you do with families that do not pay their bills?
