Thank you all for your comments on topical analgesics for OM. Here is another one: 4 week old with fever (102.1 Rectal), slight cough and some runny nose as per history. Physical exam unremarkable (negative for meningeal signs). nasal wash for RSV is sent, CBC and UA sent. Questions: a.. Should one spinal tap this otherwise well looking infant? b..
