$)Chi all the pediatricians! i am working in the city of the jungle along the river Amazon. in the past i asked about the treatment of diarrhea. in my area, all the parents of my infants can't buy milk so all the infants and majority of the children are eating breat milk. but here there are enough rota viral infection. i have prescribed OHS or liquid from rice with a little sugar and salt for the rota viral infection to all the parents. many patients were betters in 7 days. but some patients continue watery diarrhea after one week. i explained the lactose intolerance to parents. i want to know how it can be explained for the patients with prolonged watery diarrhea who were been feeding with breat milk and what i can do for the patients. i want to know any kind of nutrient therapy for acute viral infection of intestine and can i use lactose free milk to the children who were eating food or weaning for the therapy.
