Re: There's a full moon and it's Monday

There was an interview on NPR within the last 6 weeks or so with one of the
climbers that was on Everest when a number of climbers were caught in the
storm and died.  Toward the end of th interview, Terry Gross got around to
a few more mundane questions (as compared to climbing Mt Everest, that is)
and if I recall correctly, one of hers was very similar to yours.  If I'm
still recalling correctly, the answer was to aclimate the child slowly.  He
recommended spending the night at two successive elevations, each roughly a
third of the total increase in elevation that was going to be experienced.

I'm on very thin ice here respect to memory, but it seems that he either
discounted the benefits of aspirin or said it could be counter productive.

All of the above should be confirmed; I'm not that confident in what I
remember.
