To reply to the group, use "" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We have not been recommending Karo (we always used the dark) for several years due to the possible botulism issue. If a parent can give us an accurate history of constipation (hard, marble-like stools) we start on half strength prune juice (even for infants). I tell parents that if the stools are something you could take in the diaper & "mush", that is not constipation, even if it has been a day or two since the last stool. And I don't allow a switch to low iron, despite what grandma says! Btw, has anyone seen the effects of the "new, improved Similac"? Some kids have almost a breast fed type stool. We were warned about this from the rep before it came out (thank goodness). It seems to be that way for some kids, and not for others. Just wondering. -Diane, CNP -----Original Message----- From: Cecil W. Because of this I am very reluctant to recoment this for a child under 1 year of age
