First, let me repeat my plea:  When replying, PLEASE delete anything not
necessary to your reply.  I'm tired of seeing three or four "pedtalk"
messages per post.

Second, the Karo Issue.

>From Nelson's textbook of Pediatrics, 15th ed., 1996, p. 814:
"Corn syrups were once thought to be a possible source of botulinum spores,
but recent evidence indicates otherwise."

>From the 1997 Red Book chapter on Infant Botulism, p. 175:  "Light and dark
corn syrups are not potential sources."

Please help spread the word.
