A physician told her parents that she would definitely need corrective surgery. Her parents went to the chiropractor for a second opinion-geesh! This mental giant told she( my friend) and her parents that her scoliosis plus acute allergy problems she suffered from could be "solved" with adjustments and heat. My friend, who is now close to 30, looks like one side of her back has been pushed in. Whenever I hug her, I feel like I'm hugging someone who has a ribcage pushing up out of their back. Oh yeah-and by the way-she cant't have children due to the effect the scoliosis had on her pelvic growth. I guess I'm venting now. :) J Cain, RN
