If so, couldn't that law apply that says once you request your name be removed from a list, legally the soliciting party must do so immediately? Our son saw a TV show over a year ago in which it was demonstrated how to get any solicitor off your back immediately and your name off their list too. I despise those calls during the dinner hour (if we actually get one in this day and age) or in the evening hours. You can always tell it's them, by the mispronunciation of your name, or the hesitation prior to conversation. I immediately break into their "pitch" and IMMEDIATELY say "Would you please take us off your list?" They NEVER challenge this statement or try to proceed. They immediately end the call. It works! Try it. Although your correspondence arrives in the written form, once notified it seems that they would have to comply too. However, maybe this only applies if they are selling something. Karen M.
