Funny you should mention this....I have had several clients report social pressure to try both the Babywise and Ferber methods...rather than jumping on the attack bandwagon without the proper information about these books, I decided to spend last week reading them from cover to cover. I am shocked and appalled that anyone has given either one of these parenting methods any consideration...if folks want to have an easy time with feeding and feel the need to sleep through the night; they should buy a puppy...or even better a kitten...no wonder kids are busy shooting each other. Raising children requires sacrifice, comittment, surrender, and selfless devotion....I would rather see parents reading THE BABY BOOK by William and Martha Sears (a husband and wife pediatrician and registered nurse) as a guide for proper parenting.
