A thought came to mind when I read Mike's post about PEs: I find it a bit frustrating when parents come in for a physical--whether for camp, school, or sports as new pts. After being completely worked up by the nurses and my new pt history the mom mentions that the child had a physical within the last 3 mos or so. Just needs a form signed and doesnt want to have the former provider sign it. When we have kids waiting in line (!) for PEs, this is frustrating. I also wonder if the insurance companies will pay for it, especially if the provider change was for personal reasons not a change in insurance carriers. Maureen CPNP
