Is anybody interested in using this forum to
review parenting books or part of a parenting book? During my chief
residency year I had the residents review a parenting book every other
month- I think it worked out well and for those that didn't have kids it gave
them a "well baby" perspective so often missed in training and even as
novice pediatricians we also found that some of the material was outdated or
didn't fit our philosophy of child rearing. For example, yesterday I
finally broke down and bought the Baby Wise book and I was looking at the chart
in the back that gives the parents a checklist of signs of adequate
nutrition. One of the signs is urination within 24-48 hrs. of birth.
