My main reaction to this message was that it would alarm thousands of women unnecessarily for a rare form of breast cancer, and send them to their HCPs demanding expensive testing for what is not LIKELY to be cancerous. > 2. A sore on your nipple that will not heal. Any sore that will not heal rates investigation by a health care provider -- that's a no-brainer. Surely any competent caregiver would suspect cancer reasonably quickly, as long as the patient didn't give up when whatever was first tried didn't work. > your doctor should suspect cancer if the sore is only on one breast. Huh? I didn't think it was THAT unusual to have dermatitis or nipple problems on just one side. Any other comments on this line? Sylvia Steiger RN SFNP BS NFPP, Cheyenne Wyoming USA
