Re: co-sleeping

See this regarding the cosleeping debate:

My own feeling, safety issues aside, is that it is another bad habit that
gets harder and harder to break and one which creates further sleep
deprivation for all concerned. While it is true that the vast majority of
people around the world co-sleep, this is usually out of necessity and not
choice. Additionally, in North America we also have ridiculously small
nuclear families with no supports in-house (i.e. extended family members),
sleep deprivation as a cultural norm, and crazy daytime schedules as well.
My advice to parents? Don't feel guilty about creating independent sleep
habits in your child. Your sanity may be saved by it and your kids will not
become social deviants because they slept alone!
