unusual presentation

A nine year old boy presented to emergency department two days ago with
sudden sever bout of cough followed  by loss of  consciousness for few
minutes, when the child became conscious had global amnesia, could 'nt
remember his name, did not recongnised his parrents, and complained severe
pain in left hypogastric region. child's behaviour is waxing and waning and
wanning. one moment appears noarmal, and then after a while complains of
pain in left hypogastric region and puts his hand there.  Had one tablet of
brufen for pain in the heel before this  episode. Known asthmatic.
Neurological examination did not reveal much except child appears very
frightened. x-ray ches normal. CT. SCAN normal. When yesterday a ballon
bursted in the ward, child said same explosion happened in my head at the
time of this eposode. Any thoughts and similar experiences will be welcomed.
