The problem that I see is that nipple thrush is extremely painful for mom!
I was a dedicated breastfeeder, but I almost threw in the towel on several
occasions due to the searing pain during nursings. It took four months to
get rid of the thrush the first time around, and it was almost more pain
than I could stand at times. My son weaned when he was 2.5. Had I not
gotten rid of the thrush, I'm sure it would have been a much shorter
experience.
