Thought you might know someone who would be interested in participating. Harry ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dear parents, caregivers, and professionals: I am producing a special for ABC Children First, and looking for children and families to profile. The show will examine how childhood has changed in America during this century. Some of the topics I am focusing on are the influence of technology and medicine, and perceptions about disability. For this reason I am especially interested in featuring children with special needs, since they powerfullydemonstrate the expansion of possibility. To best illustrate how much has changed for children, I would like to interview several generations from within the same family. The family I profile can be anywhere in the United States, however, one criteria is that several generations be available, comfortable speaking on camera, and within driving distance of one another. The special needs child must be between the ages of five and eighteen, and able to successfully communicate verbally. I am also especially interested in families that live on farms/ranches, and families who belong to under-represented minority groups. If you think your family is appropriate, or you know of one that might be, please contact me ASAP. This show will air on ABC in mid to late December, and we will be shooting the story in two weeks. Thank you so much for your help. Please feel free to pass my number on to any families or organizations that may be helpful. I can be reached at 212-246-0202, x3022, or emailed at: .
